YouTube Studio updates show creators why a video is blocked or under-earning, and how to fix it

A new Account Status page, a per-video earnings column, and colour-coded video alerts now sit inside the YouTube Studio mobile app, so creators can see what is limiting a video and how to fix it.

YouTube has rolled out a set of YouTube Studio updates that pull a channel’s health, per-video earnings, and every content warning into a single mobile view, letting creators see what is limiting a video and act on it.

Accounts page replaces multiple tabs

Youtube has launched an Account Status page, which works like a health report card for the YouTube channel. Instead of opening multiple tabs in different places to figure out what’s going wrong with the account, everything important is now shown in a single place.

According to the announcement, creators can now see exactly how much money each of their videos is making, all out in a clean, easy-to-read column. This update helps creators figure out their earnings from individual videos easier.

Every video’s earnings now sit in one column

The new Estimated Revenue column pulls together income from all sources ads, YouTube Premium, YouTube Shopping, and fan funding like Super Chats into a single, easy-to-read spot. There will be less switching between reports.

Newly uploaded videos will also show a small clock icon for the first couple of days while earnings are still being calculated.

The visibility column is no more cluttered

The Visibility column now only shows the audience setting a creator has chosen on the platform, whether it is Public, Private, or Members Only. Things like copyright restrictions, which previously cluttered this column, have been moved to the Notices column where they belong.

YouTube said that these changes are designed to save creators a lot of time. Instead of spending hours trying to figure out why a video isn’t growing or making money, the new tools point out the problem straight away and in simple language.

One colour-coded column for every warning

The redesigned tab now brings all video warnings and alerts into one single column called Notices, replacing the old separate columns for Monetisation and Restrictions, which could get confusing.

The Notices column uses a simple colour system to let creators know how serious an issue is. Red is for complete limitation, where a video is completely blocked or unable to earn any money. Yellow signifies partial limitation, where a video might only be earning limited ad revenue. Grey is for informational notice, which means that while there is information creators should be aware of.

Hovering over a notice shows its cause and the steps to clear it. YouTube says the aim is to cut the hours creators spend working out why a video is not growing or earning, by naming the problem in plain language.

Mobile first, desktop still waiting

For now, these YouTube Studio updates are mobile first. The Account Status page is live in the YouTube Studio app on Android and iOS, with desktop access still to come.

That matters most in India, where a large share of creators shoot and upload entirely on a phone. A creator in a city like Coimbatore can now check on that same phone whether a new video has been flagged with a yellow limited-ads notice, and why, without waiting to reach a laptop.

In May 2025, YouTube announced that it paid Indian creators more than ₹21,000 crore in three years, and every blocked or limited video chip away at that, for the creator and for YouTube. The sooner a creator catches the problem, the less they lose.
